Endodontic Treatment in Dubai
To understand an endodontic treatment it helps to know something about the anatomy of the tooth. A soft tissue called the pulp is inside the tooth, under the white enamel and a hard, thicker layer called the dentine. The pulp, which contains blood vessels and nerves, is important during the tooth’s growth and development. However, once a tooth is fully mature, it can survive without the pulp because the tooth continues to be nourished by the tissues surrounding it. Root canal treatment is necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected. This may happen as a result of decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth or a traumatic dental injury.
Certain signs may indicate that you have a diseased tooth or infected nerve and therefore may need a root canal. These signs include:
During endodontic treatment, the damaged pulp is removed and the tooth’s canal are cleaned and filled to help preserve the tooth. Most people think root canal therapy is a painful and traumatic procedure. In truth, a root canal procedure is actually no more painful than having a crown or filling placed. The pain that comes with a root canal is actually due to the pressure associated with the infection inside the tooth. The root canal procedure will alleviate that pain quickly and easily.
Once treated, the tooth should last a very long time, provided that you maintain good oral hygiene and generally look after your teeth.

General Dentistry
Here we have a patient that is unsatisfied with her smile. Although she is in her fifties and isn’t suffering from any pain but she wants to achieve a more youthful smile. She has a gummy smile that means she showed the gums while smiling hence the asymmetry on gum line is visible. In order to achieve aesthetically acceptable smile the right and left side of gums and teeth must be at the same level , also we are able to correct the cross bite on the left side with the help of ceramic crowns . The correct bite is when the upper teeth come over the lower teeth And not the other way around as is in this case on the left side. We also choose a whiter color for a more natural look.
In this case we replaced the old crowns and bridges and added posterior crowns. Patient is very happy with her new smile.
